RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that consistencies of policies are imperative for the development and prosperity of the country.
In his address at an international conference on ‘peace and security in South and Central Asia’ in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the president urged the people particularly the youth to supplement government efforts in completing the mega development projects.
The president said that resources were wasted in previous eras which created problems. He said there is an element of disappointment in the youth due to problems including law and order, unemployment and other ills. He urged the youth to shun disappointment and pay their attention on education because it is a big source of human development.
Mamnoon Hussain said that due to prudent policies adopted by the present Government, Pakistan is progressing. He said that law and order situation and country’s financial position have improved due to measures taken by the government.
President Mamnoon said that international financial institutions and rating agencies have acknowledged and appreciated that direction of Pakistan’s economy is correct as a result of economic reforms carried out by the government.
In their view, Pakistan will emerge as an economic power in next ten to fifteen years, if these policies continue.
