ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck various areas of Pakistan including Islamabad and Lahore on Tuesday night, causing panic and fear among the people.
The people rushed to outside of their houses soon after the earthquake jolted parts of the Country.
The earthquake was measured 7.7 on the Richter Scale, and its epicenter was 90 kilometers from Kalafgan, Afghanistan.
The reports said that tremors were also felt in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Swabi, and Quetta.
Besides Pakistan, the earthquake also jolted parts of Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake’s magnitude was 6.8 with a depth of 180 kilometers, and its epicenter was in Hindukush Region, Afghanistan.
