ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The renowned Religious Scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday, and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Prior to initiating the conversation, both avoided handshake as a precautionary measure against Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Sources said that both the leaders also exchanged views on measures to halt the spread of the deadly virus which has already taken 6,526 lives across the World while nearly 100 Pakistanis have also been infected by it so far.
They said that during the meeting, the prime minister asked Maulana Tariq Jameel to pray against the virus.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) for COVID-19.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, the Interior Minister Ijaz Shah, the Adviser on Finance Hafeez Sheikh, the Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza, the Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan, the Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and others.
All the Chief Ministers were present through Video link.
