POTISKUM, Nigeria: At least 29 students and a teacher were killed in an attack by militants on a boarding school in northeast Nigeria before dawn Saturday.
Some students were burned alive in the attack on Government Secondary School in Mamudo town in Yobe state, survivors being treated for burn and gunshots wounds said.
Since 2010, dozens of schools have been torched and unknown scores of students killed among more than 1,600 victims slain by extremists.
