LAHORE, Pakistan: In order to provide easy access to people to get information about Multan Metro Bus Service, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMTA) has begun work to set up a mobile App.
Through the mobile App, the Citizens would get information about location, arrival or delay of Metro Buses.
The Citizens would also get any information regarding Multan Metro Bus Service through help line 061-111-222-627 and would get latest information through website and Facebook too.
The Metro Bus administration said that people would avail the facility from the next month as the Metro Bus Project in Multan was in final stages of completion.
The administration said that as many as 226 cameras would be installed at Metro Bus route in order to monitor buses. It said that these cameras would be linked with a command and control centre which would also be used to control crime.
Meanwhile, the PMTA hired Private Companies to run the Multan Metro Bus under the outsource model.
The Spokesman for the Department of Public Relations said on Friday that services of 2,600 people had been hired for the purpose. He said that a 30-member staff of Command and Control Centre would supervise the system.
Moreover, he said that more than 50,000 people including engineers, labourers got employment in the project.
