The life continues to remain at standstill across the Country since two days as not only roads have still been facing blockage but mobile services also remain suspended especially in Islamabad/Rawalpindi (Mobile services in Rawalpindi/Islamabad).

Sources said that cellular services are still suspended within a 5km radius of Faisalabad Interchange, which serves as a junction between Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Likewise, the people dwelling in localities of Satellite Town, Shamsabad, Dhok Kala Khan, I-8 Sector, Karal Chowk, Margalla Town, Ghauri Town, and other adjoining areas have also been facing complete or partial suspension of mobile services.

However, no official statement has yet been made by the administration or service providers as for how long the situation will remain the same.

Meanwhile, various roads in the Federal Capital especially Faizabad Interchange, Islamabad Expressway, Aabpara, Tramri Roundabout, and Bhara Kahu Athaal Chowk are still blocked; therefore, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a diversion plan for traffic, suggesting the motorists to take alternatives routes to reach the respective destinations.

The ITP has advised public to keep listening ITP FM 92.4 for latest updates about traffic situation.

In addition to roads and highways, motorways i.e Peshawar to Islamabad (fully), Pindi Bhatiaan to Lahore (fully) and Lahore to Multan (at few points) have also been closed.

Similarly, the Grand Trunk (GT) Road is also closed at Taxila City, Mandrah, Gujjar Khan, Saraay Alamgir, Sohawah, Gujjaranwala, Kamooki, Lahore, and Mureedkay.
