ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has directed the Attorney-General General Munir A. Malik to submit all record regarding the letter written to the Swiss authorities in money laundering case.

During hearing of NRO implementation case in Islamabad today‚ Attorney-General Munir A. Malik informed the court that two letters were written to Swiss authorities out of which one was written on the directive of the court while the other was written by the Government on its own.

He said in the second letter‚ the Government wrote to the Swiss authorities that there is no case against the President in money laundering case and it does not intend to reopen the case. He also presented the text of the second letter written to the Swiss Authorities.

He said investigations are underway in the case and its report will be presented before the court. The Attorney-General said the Government will go into appeal against the decision of Swiss authorities not to reopen money laundering case.

The Chief Justice said that those who are found involved in this practice will have to face the consequences.
