ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday forecast more rain with dust-thunderstorm for scattered places in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

Rain dust-thunderstorm is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu division, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions and few places of Dera Ghazi Khan. Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Zhob and Multan divisions.

According to the synoptic situation, a western disturbance is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist till Friday.

Hot and Dry weather is expected in other parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours was Shaheed Benazirabad 46 C, Padidan, Dadu 45 C, Larkana, Bahawalanagr, Okara, Rohri, Sibbi and Sukkur 44 C.

The maximum temperatures recorded in other cities were Islamabad 37 C, Lahore 43 C, Karachi 36 C, Peshawar 38 C, Quetta 35 C, Gilgit 33 C, Chitral 30 C, Hunza 28 C, Muzaffarabad 36 C, Murree 26 C, Skardu 32 C, Faisalabad 41 C, Multan 41 C, Hyderabad 42 C, Dir 32 C and Kalat 30 C.

The rainfall recorded in different cities was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Peshawar (Airport 26, City 16) mm, Parachinar 14, Dir, Mirkhani 08, Cherat 09, Malamjabba, Drosh 03, Kakul, Pattan 02, Lower Dir 01, Punjab: Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin 08, Murree 06, Islamabad 05, Jhelum 03, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Mianwali 02, Gujrat, Mangla 01, Kashmir: Garidupatta, Rawalakot 08, Muzaffarabad 02 and Kotli 01 mm.
