MULTAN, Pakistan: Rescue 1122 Motorbike ambulance service will be made operational in Multan from next week.
Talking to the state-run news agency in Multan on Saturday, Rescue 1122 spokesperson Abdul Jabbar said that 70 out of 100 motorbike ambulances have arrived in the city and the remaining will reach here on Sunday.
He said that a ceremony would be conducted the next week for making service formally operational in the city.
He said that motorbike staff would perform duty in two shifts and they would respond emergencies occurring in narrow streets, especially walled city areas.
He said that motorbike service would also respond to the emergencies where only first-aid would be needed.
Abdul Jabbar said that motorbike staff was fully trained and equipped with the latest medical equipment to handle any emergency effectively.
He said that Rescue 1122 Multan is responding over 120 emergencies daily in city with an average time of seven minutes.
The motorbike ambulance service staff would perform emergency duty of medical entry test at Bahauddin Zakariya University which held on Sunday (Oct-29).
