KARACHI: A day of mourning is being observed by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) across Sindh province on Friday against what it calls extra judicial killings and kidnappings of its activists.
The transporters are supporting the party’s call by keeping their vehicles off the roads. The petrol and CNG stations as well as major and minor business centres are shut across the city.
The private school management association on Thursday also announced that schools operating privately would remain shut.
Moreover, the matriculation and intermediate boards have also postponed all examinations scheduled for today, the new dates for which will be announced later.
