KARACHI, Pakistan: Like Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, Syed Murad Ali Shah has also returned as the Chief Minister of Sindh for his another five-year term.

Affiliated with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Murad Ali Shah secured 97 votes in the election held at the Sindh Assembly in Karachi on Thursday for the Leader of the House.

His rival Shahryar Mahar – who was the Joint Candidate of the Opposition – bagged 61 votes.

Earlier on Wednesday, PPP’s Agha Siraj Khan Durrani won the election of the Speaker Sindh Assembly through secret ballot with 96 votes, beating Opposition’s Javed Hanif who managed to receive 59 votes.
