ISLAMABAD: Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has filed two separate petitions seeking exemption from court appearances due to security concerns in two cases pertaining to Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder and judges’ detention.
The first petition was filed by Musharraf’s lawyer Ilyas Siddiqui Advocate to the Additional Session Judge Wajid Ali who heard a case in Islamabad on Monday against the former army chief in the murder case of Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Rasheed Ghazi.
At which, the judge issued notices to the federal government seeking its reply on the application, and adjourned the hearing till November 26.
Meanwhile, the former president also filed a similar petition in judges’ detention case to an anti-terrorism court which approved the application for hearing and adjourned contention on the same till November 26.
