ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Muslims across the Country will celebrate the annual festival of Eid-Ul-Azha on Sunday with religious fervor.
Every year, Eid-Ul-Azha or the Festival of Sacrifice is celebrated on the 10th of Zil-Haj to mark the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah and commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice what was dearest to him as a test of faith when he was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail (AS).
On Sunday, the Day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for well-being of the Ummah and progress, prosperity and security of the Country.
Congregational Eid prayers will be held at mosques, Eidgahs and open places in all cities, towns and villages.
Ulema in their sermons of Eid will highlight the significance of the philosophy of great sacrifice offered by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS).
