In a Twitter message on Friday, the prime minister wished them a happy and blessed Eid Ul Fitr and prayed to God Almighty to accept our worship and forgive sins.

The first day of Eid Ul Fitr is being celebrated on Friday in most parts of the world including in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan, Jordan, Egypt, and United Kingdom (UK).

In Pakistan, Shawwal Moon was not sighted on Thursday evening; therefore, Eid Ul Ftir will be celebrated across the Country on Saturday.

In his announcement, the Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad said that no evidence of moon sighting was received from any part of the Country.

Meanwhile, Jumma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, is being observed today across the Country with religious reverence.

Millions of people will offer Friday prayers at mosques across the Country.

Special prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and unity of Muslims the world over.

The religious leaders and Imams will highlight importance of the month of fasting and the Jumma-tul-Wida.
