ISLAMABAD: A per decision of the newly appointed Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, high-profile corruption cases including those against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and other prominent politicians will be reopened and pursued, NAB spokesman Ramzan Sajid told media.
The spokesman said that the chairman has sought details of the cases and decided to go for across-the-board accountability, adding that according to the chairman, he will tolerate no delay in the processing and pursuing of such cases.
Those cases which are pending in NAB against Sharif brothers include those relating to Hudaybia Paper Mills, having assets beyond known sources of income and Ittefaq Foundry loan default.
