SIALKOT, Pakistan: The State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that the Nandipur power plant will soon be converted to gas.
While chairing an important meeting held at Nandipur (Gujranwala) power plant on Friday to review progress of the power plant, Abdi Sher Ali said that the conversion will reduce the cost of power production and increase its capacity to 525 megawatts.
Senators Nauman Wazir Khattak and Muhammad Daud Khan Achakzai were also present in the meeting.
The officials concerned gave a detailed briefing to the meeting participants about brief history, key points of revised PC-1 and configuration of Nandipur plant.
Later on, he told the media that 10,000 megawatts of electricity would soon be included in the national grid, which would help end load-shedding till March 2018.
