KARACHI, Pakistan: The four-day NAPA International Music Festival titled ‘Bridging Culture through Music’ will begin at the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) in Karachi from December 4.
During the four-day festival, musicians from Germany, the United States and Italy besides renowned musicians from Pakistan will perform live.
The director programs and administration NAPA Arshad Mehmood informed that the festival is intended to bring out the concept that music is one thing that is common among us and can form understanding between people of different cultures and countries.
On the first day of the festival, German Leipzig String Quartet will play. Pakistan’s celebrated classical singer Hamid Ali Khan, flute maestro Ustad Salamat Hussain, table maestro Ustad Bashir Khan and vocalist Akbar Ali will perform on day two.
On the third day, the stage will be occupied by pianist, concert performer, song-writer and recording artist Kimball Gallagher from the United States.
The last and fourth day will have a concert by Hathor Plectrum Quartet from Italy.
