ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Security Adviser Lt. Genera (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua on Friday expressed the willingness and commitment of Pakistan to expand cooperation with Nigeria in all fields.
In a meeting with the High Commissioner of Nigeria Major General (retd) Ashimiyu Adebayo Olaniyi who called on him in Islamabad, Nasser Janjua also extended invitation to Nigerian National Security to visit Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed ways and means to enhance bilateral relations and matters pertaining to defence cooperation and stability in South Asia and Africa.
Both sides agreed to work together at all levels to promote cordial and cooperation bilateral relations.
The High Commissioner said that Nigeria attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
He expressed keen desire to boost bilateral relations with Pakistan through mutual cooperation in multiple areas including defence, counter terrorism, trade and social sector development.
They agreed to keep up the momentum of improvement in the relations of the two countries and increase the frequency of high level exchanges.
Major General (retd) Ashimiyu Adebayo Olaniyi conveyed the desire of his government to start comprehensive counter terrorism cooperation with Pakistan including exchange of actionable intelligence and tracking of terror financing.
