Youm-e-Takbeer - The nation is observing Youm-e-Takbeer on Thursday to commemorate historic nuclear tests Pakistan conducted on May 28, 1998 in self-defense to respond to India's aggression of nuclear tests. The nuclear explosions made Pakistan's defence invincible, and Pakistan became the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and seventh in the world. Meanwhile in a statement on twitter, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz said that Pakistan's nuclear arsenals are guarantor of the safety and security of the Country and its people. The minister said that it was on May 28 that Pakistan got the distinction of becoming the first nuclear power of the Islamic world. Shibli Faraz said that the national dignity and security is supreme for us and the nation is united for the defense and development of the Country. Responding to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Nawaz’s remarks, the information minister said that there are efforts and hard work of a generation behind making Pakistan a nuclear state, and asked the PML-N leader not to link it with his family.
