ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said there should have been a difference in the language of politicians and the judges.
“I don’t accept such judicial verdicts,” Nawaz Sharif said while talking to media after he came out of the Accountability Court in Islamabad.
Nawaz Sharif said he had never been involved in any kind of corruption, adding those people wanted him to be removed from the party’s presidentship.
Earlier, the Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir conducted the hearing of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar in Al-Azizia, Flagship and Avenfield references.
The copies of two NAB supplementary references were handed over to Nawaz Sharif. The Court also handed over 3 volumes of Al-Azizia reference and 6 volumes of Flagship reference to Nawaz Sharif.
Meanwhile talking to media, the State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb outside the Accountability Court said supplementary references were being filed repeatedly but nothing was proved in previous six references. She said nothing was proved from the evidences that were presented in the Supreme Court.
The minister said Joint Investigation Team (JIT) didn’t find anything during investigation and corruption of not a single rupee was proved.
Marriyum Aurangzeb also questioned that why names were being placed in the Exit Control List (ECL).
“We will go for legal option if names are placed in the ECL,” the information minister said.
