LAHORE, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday presided over a high level meeting in Lahore in which he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government believes in public service and vowed to provide basic amenities of life to the people.
In the meeting held at the Governor House in Lahore and attended amongst others by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana, he said that the people will be provided education, health and other facilities of life, adding that he will personally monitor it.
The prime minister said that the benefits of development will be transferred to the masses in the next two years.
Nawaz Sharif said that mega development projects pertaining to gas, electricity and infrastructure will be completed by 2018. He said that power outages will be eliminated during the next two years.
The prime minister said that the last phase of local government elections will be completed by May.
In addition, he said that people have rejected those who are pursuing negative agenda.
