ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sought better market access for Pakistani products in the United States.
In a meeting with the US Senators Tim Kaine and Angus King in Islamabad on Monday, the prime minister said that enhancing mutual trade with the US is Pakistan’s top priority in bilateral relationships.
Sharif lauded the US support for Dasu and Bhasha dam projects and said that trade is our priority in relations with the US.
Talking about the recent escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India, the prime minister said that both the neighboring countries can resolve their issues only through dialogue.
The prime minister said that the UN resolutions have primary importance in the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Sharif urged the United Nations to ensure implementation of its resolutions on Kashmir. He said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.
