ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif plans to visit Australia early next year to hold talks with the Australian leadership on various issues particularly about ways to boost the bilateral economic cooperation.
In a meeting with the newly appointed Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Margaret Adamson in Islamabad, the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar expressed the confidence that the visit of the prime minister to Australia would further strengthen close bilateral relations.
The finance minister said that there is great scope for enhancing Pakistan-Australia cooperation in diverse fields.
In her remarks, the Australian high commissioner said that the government and people of Australia look forward to the visit of the Pakistani premier
The new Australian envoy said that the visit will help enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
Margaret Adamson took up her appointment as the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan in June 2015. Earlier, Peter Heyward remained the Australian envoy in Islamabad for three years.
