MULTAN, Pakistan: The State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Tuesday said Nawaz Sharif was punished for serving the Country, adding the former prime minister eradicated the menace of terrorism, electricity load shedding and strengthened economy.
Talking to the media in Multan, Abid Sher Ali said Nawaz Sharif always respected the institutions, adding that nothing proved against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership.
The minister also said Nawaz Sharif honoured his pledges made with the people for ending electricity load shedding, terrorism and improving Country’s economy.
“Pakistan is making progress in almost all fields,” he said.
Abid Sher Ali criticized the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and observed that Imran was doing negative politics to stop the journey of progress. He said Imran Khan quotes examples of other countries but he himself enjoying helicopter and other privileges.
To a query about Javed Hashmi’s rejoining of PML-N, Abid Sher Ali said Javed Hashmi always struggled for the promotion of democracy in the Country.
The state minister said during the PTI sit-in, Javed Hashmi foiled the conspiracy against democracy.
Abid Sher Ali also criticized Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership and Sharjeel Inaam Memon, and said Rs 5 billion were recovered from bedroom of Sharjeel Memon. Similarly, he added, Ayyan Ali was also caught by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Lateef Khosa was her lawyer in the court.
