ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of Parliamentary leaders in Islamabad on Wednesday to finalize the national anti-terrorism strategy.
Meanwhile, the prime minister chaired a high level meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss various steps to combat terrorism.
The meeting expressed the firm resolve to root out terrorism from the country and agreed to take urgent and effective steps to address this menace.
In the first session, the prime minister deliberated upon the issue involving the legal experts. He will continue to discuss steps against terrorism during the second session of the meeting.
During today’s meeting, the prime minister expressed the determination to continue operation against all terrorists without any discrimination.
The prime minister said that the nation will not forget the barbaric incidents that took place in Peshawar, Quetta and Wagha. He said that perpetrators of these attacks will not be spared.
Sharif said that protection of all the citizens irrespective of their caste, creed and religion is the foremost priority of the government.
Moreover, he emphasized the need for addressing the root causes of terrorism.
