ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The war of words between two Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwarts Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Pervaiz Rasheed seems to have intensified as they continued to exchange harsh words for each other on Tuesday.
Talking to media at the Federal Judicial Complex in Islamabad earlier in the day, the former Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed called Chaudhry Nisar ‘hypocrite’, and also said that the former Interior Minister contested one election without the PML-N electoral symbol ‘lion,’ and suffered a humiliating defeat in it.
Later in a response, Chaudhry Nisar’s Spokesperson said that Pervaiz Rasheed is a habitual misrepresentation. He said that Pervaiz Rasheed’s statements about Chaudhry Nisar’s losing elections are clear example of his misstatement.
The Spokesperson said that Chaudhry Nisar contested elections in 1985, 1988, 1990 and 2013 without lion symbol, and he won election for the Punjab assembly with the Grace of Allah.
Chaudhry Nisar’s Spokesperson further said that Dawn leaks report clearly indicates Pervaiz Rasheed’s lies. He said that Dawn leaks committee declared Pervaiz Rasheed responsible for hiding facts.
“It would be better for Pervaiz Rasheed to avoid irresponsible statements,” he said.
It all began after Pervaiz Rasheed in a recent Television Interview blamed the then Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar for his ouster from the Federal Cabinet in the wake of Dawn Leaks Inquiry.
On Monday, Pervaiz Rasheed also lambasted Chaudhry Nisar for making anti-party statements in difficult times, and also asked him to leave PML-N if he was virtuous and had issues with it.
While Chaudhry Nisar in response to Pervaiz Rasheed’s remarks taunted the latter for even not having ever contested a Councilor Election.
