Monitoring Team: “There were no official security arrangements in place where deceased Russian Ambassador Karlov was scheduled to attend exhibition”, revealed initial investigations conducted by the Russian Investigating team.
According to sources, Russian Investigation team that is in Ankara found credible data that there were no official security arrangements in place where deceased Russian Ambassador Karlov was scheduled to attend exhibition.
Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov was shot dead when he was delivering a scheduled speech at the opening of an art exhibition called ‘Russia in the Eyes of Turks’ at an art gallery in Ankara last Monday. Mevlut Altintas who killed Russian Ambassador was a policeman who entered the venue as security personnel and stood behind Ambassador Karlov as security personnel till such time he shot Karlov five times and killed him on spot.
It may be mentioned that Mayer of Ankara explained that killer policeman Mevlut was not assigned on this event. Meanwhile, city security authorities failed to explain that if Mevlut was not assigned to the spot then who was assigned to this event and what security arrangements were in place to cover scheduled event of Russian Ambassador?
Russian investigators believe that the murder of the Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov in Ankara was a well-planned act of terrorism and killer Mevlut Altintas who triggered the gun was working for conspirators.
Turkish authorities claim that Mevlut Altintas who was a member of prime Turkish riot police was linked with Fethullah Gulen who is the arch rival of President of Turkey. However, Russian investigators believe that Mevlut could be linked with Islamic terrorist organisations.
It is learnt that Mevlut became very religious person before killing Russian Ambassador and spent his most of his time in performing religious activities.
Claims of Russian investigators were indirectly confirmed by father of Mevlut in a interview with Turkish media said that the behavior of his son started changing after he joined riot police and he started becoming focused on his prayers, more introverted and silent. His father said that 22-year-old Mevlut was not really religious before joining police.
The Russian team of investigators is working in Turkey and is investigating every aspect related with the gruesome assassination of Russian Ambassador including the circumstances in which the lone killer was killed by Turkish police although police could have arrested him alive as killer was alone and had only one gun.
“Russian investigators would not comment over this murder unless investigations are completed. One point is clear that killer was not working on his own will, said a source in Moscow.
