QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly will elect new Chief Minister on Sunday whereas nomination papers for the election of the leader of the House in Balochistan Assembly are being filed today.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and National Party (NP) have formed an alliance in the provincial assembly. These three parties were emerged as largest parties after the May 11 election.
PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had nominated Baloch nationalist leader and NP President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch for the slot of the chief minister, and it was also decided that the governor would be from the PkMAP.
An official handout issued on Friday said that nomination papers for the slot of chief minister would be received until June 8.
