One killed, seven injured in hand grenade blast in Quetta

QUETTA, Pakistan: Unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade at two barber shops near the Sirki Kalan area of Quetta’s double road on Wednesday, killing at one person and injuring nine others.

A police official Muhammad Aslam said that the area was at its busiest when the bomb went off.

The blast also damaged some vehicles and smashed the glasses of nearby homes and shops.

The injured persons were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment.
