PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that the Manual Visa System has ceased to exist from today as the federal government has launched the Online Visa System for 191 Countries to make its process easy for the people.
While addressing a Press Conference in Peshawar on Friday, Sheikh Rashid said that the Online Visa System would eradicate corruption and ensure transparency besides addressing complaints of the people especially with regard to China and Afghanistan.
The minister said that on the first day, the Online System has received about 200,000 applications for visa.
The interior minister further said that the government would not renew the Diplomatic Passport of Nawaz Sharif which was going to expire on February 16 and it would be considered as cancelled.
Sheikh Rashid said that currently, Pakistan has no extradition treaty with Britain under which Nawaz Sharif could be brought back to the Country.
However, he added that efforts are underway on all fronts to bring him back to face corruption cases in Courts.
