ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The opposition Jirga led by the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Sirajul Haq called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday and briefed him about the dialogue process with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
The prime minister appreciated the efforts of the opposition Jirga to resolve political standoff.
The meeting was also attended by Senators Rehman Malik, Kalsoom Parveen, Member National Assembly G. G. Jamal and the JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch.
The opposition Jirga met with the prime minister after it held separate rounds of talks with delegates from PTI and PAT on Wednesday.
