RAWALPINDI: The leader of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed said on Friday that an organized conspiracy is being hatched to delay the forthcoming elections.

Addressing the party workers at Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi on Friday, the AML leader said that Pakistan military must stand behind Chief Justice of Supreme Court to conduct free and fair elections in the country.

Rasheed said that a five-year term of plunderers is going to end today. He said that economy has been ruined while law and order situation is terrible.

The AML leader said that Badami Bagh was vacated in the supervision of police to give the land to qabza mafia.

Rasheed said that no opposition party took to the streets during the five years of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s (PPP)-led government, adding that those involved in ephedrine cases remained in the parliament.

Meanwhile, he announced that he would contest polls in NA 55 and 56 in the upcoming general elections.
