ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The outgoing Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam held farewell meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam is retiring from his post on November 7. Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar will take charge as the new Director General ISI.
During his meeting with the prime minister, the outgoing DG ISI discussed matters of mutual interests.
Later, Lieutenant General Zaheer-ul Islam paid a farewell call on the president in Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interests.
The president lauded the services and professional abilities of the outgoing DG ISI.
