ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The outgoing Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad on Monday.
Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar is retiring on October 25, 2018. Lt General Asim Munir will replace Lt General Naveed Mukhtar as the director general ISI, Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency.

Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar is retiring as DG ISI on October 25
During the meeting, the prime minister appreciated meritorious services of Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar rendered for the Country during his military career especially as the director general ISI.
Imran Khan also expressed his best wishes for his post retirement life.
Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar thanked the prime minister for his expression and best wishes.
Prior to being posted as the director general ISI in December 2016, Lt General Naveed Mukhtar was posted as Corps Commander Karachi. Whereas the new DG ISI Lt General Asim Munir is the former Director General of Military intelligence (MI).
