ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: More than 12,500 people were affected from malaria during the last three months in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Over a thousand malaria patients were suffered from fever. Malaria tests were conducted on 114,000 people in different hospitals of the province during the last three months, out of which malaria was confirmed in 12,500 patients.
The report said that no malaria case was reported from nine districts including Abbottabad, Haripur, Kohistan, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, Lower Dir, Upper Dir and Shangla. It said the disease has badly affected over 1,000 patients.
Most malaria cases were reported from Bannu, Hangu and Charsadda.
