ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan-Belarus Business and Investment Forum will hold its meeting in Islamabad on Monday to discuss joint ventures in economic and trade sectors.
The forum is being organized by the Board of Investment of Pakistan ahead of a two-day official visit by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan.
The prominent businessmen and investors from all over the country and 52 top businessmen from Belarus will attend the forum for joint venture collaboration particularly in the agriculture field.
The sources said that a number of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed between companies of Pakistan and Belarus.
The forum is being held a day before President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will arrive in Islamabad at the invitation of his Pakistani Counterpart Mamnoon Hussain.
During his visit, the Belarusian president will have official talks with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who will also host a lunch in honour of the visiting dignitary. President Mamnoon Hussain will also host a banquet in honour of the distinguished guest.
The two countries are expected to sign a number of important agreements and MoUs with focus on agriculture machinery, tractor plant, milk and dairy industry during the visit.
