MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that Pakistan cannot afford negative politics, referring to ongoing sit-ins by the PTI and PAT in Islamabad.
In his address to affected people in Haveli district of Azad Kashmir on Thursday, the prime minister said that we should learn from the past mistakes, shun negative activities and do constructive politics.
Sharif said that attempts are being made to block the way of progress through Dharnas but declared that the journey of progress and development would continue. He said that the world has moved forward and we are still caught in politics of sit-ins.
Nawaz announces university campus in Haveli, railway line from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad
Meanwhile, the prime minister announced opening of university campus in Haveli and construction of a railway line from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad.
The premier also gave directions for damage assessment in rain and flood affected areas of Azad Kashmir. He said that the federal government would provide necessary assistance for reconstruction of damaged houses.
In addition, he announced Rs1 million for each family that lost its family member in floods. He said that he is paying full attention to the development of Azad Kashmir.
