ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace.

In a press release, the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that in response to PAF strikes on Wednesday morning as released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Indian Air Force (IAF) crossed the Line of Control (LoC).

The director general ISPR said that the PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace while one of the aircrafts fell inside Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

In addition, he said that one Indian pilot has been arrested by Pakistani troops on ground while two pilots are hiding in the area.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Office also said that PAF has undertaken strikes across the LoC from within Pakistani airspace.

The Foreign Office said that this was not a retaliation to continued Indian belligerence. Therefore, Pakistan has taken strikes at non-military target, avoiding human loss and collateral damage.

It said that sole purpose being to demonstrate our right, will and capability for self defence.
