PARIS: Pakistan is one of the most dangerous countries in the world for journalists, Reporters without Borders (RSF) said in its annual report released on Wednesday.
In its report, the France-based media watchdog said that seven reporters lost their lives in the line of duty in 2013 in Pakistan.
It said that four of the reporters were killed in Balochistan including cameraman Imran Shaikh and his colleague Saif ur Rehman who lost their lives after they rushed to cover a bomb blast which occurred in the provincial capital of Quetta in January 2013 but hit by a second blast that occurred ten minutes after the first.
The media watchdog blamed the government’s unwillingness to administer justice.
