ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Newly appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Wednesday assured that he would work in close coordination with Pakistan armed forces to enhance Inter Services cooperation and transform them into potent and well coherent integrated forces of the region.
In a meeting with the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, the CJCSC expressed his entire satisfaction over operational readiness and strenuous efforts by Pakistan Navy to make maritime defence of the country impregnable.
The Naval Chief congratulated the CJCSC on his promotion and assuming command of the best forces in the world.
Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah said that Pakistan Navy would continue its endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in operational and other inter-services matters under the auspices of worthy Chairman.
The Naval Chief assured whole hearted support by Pakistan Navy and hoped that Armed Forces of Pakistan would further progress and maintain their forceful posture under the able command of General Zubair Mahmood Hayat.
Earlier Upon his arrival at the Naval Headquarters, the CJCSC was received by Chief of the Naval Staff. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him the Guard of Honour.
The Naval Chief introduced the visiting dignitary to the Principal Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters.
The CJCSC was briefed on Pakistan Navy’s role in Regional Maritime Security situation and Operational Development in the Indian Ocean region.d
