Monitoring Desk: The strategic reach of the Pakistan Army has been expanding manifold with every passing day and Pakistan Army attended several international exercises simultaneously in September 2021.
Only in one month, Pakistan Army participated in five international exercises attending by over 30 countries.
This was observed by participants of PTV Current Affairs Show “Capital View” on Sunday. The show was anchored by Mashaal Bokhari while Hamayun Khan, Barrister Ahmed Pansota and Dr Salma Malik participated in the discussion.

Participants were of the view that the Pakistan military has been actively attending international Military exercises with multi-partners and such exercises of course help to enhance strategic and tactical experiences. In one month Pakistan Military attended five different international.
Regarding Pak-China Military collaboration, participants mentioned that in one month, both the countries participated in two different military exercises— One in Pakistan-China—Mongolia and Thailand.
Moreover, in the international scenario, Egypt exercises were very significant where Pakistan had an opportunity for war games with Egypt, United States, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Cyprus, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Greece, Kuwait, UAE, Tunisia, Nigeria, Tanzania, and France.
These factors indicate Pakistan Military is engaged with almost every important army of the world to share knowledge with them and to understand the latest techniques, technologies, and strategies.

Pakistan-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise “Dostarym III”

Special Forces of both the countries took part in Hostage & Rescue, Compound clearance, Heli Rappelling and Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and exchanged first-hand experience and ideas.

Multinational Exercise Bright Star 2021 conducted at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, Egypt

Multinational Exercise Bright Star 2021 was conducted at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, Egypt with 20 participant countries including Egypt, United States, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Cyprus, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Greece, Kuwait, UAE, Tunisia, Nigeria, Tanzania, and France.
Pakistan contingent comprising Army, Navy, and Pak Air Force troops participated for the first time since 2009. The closing ceremony of the exercise was held at Mohamed Naguib Military Base. Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz, Engineer-in-Chief, attended the closing ceremony of the exercise.

Exercise Peace Mission-2021

Exercise Peace Mission 2021 was held at Donguz training area, Orenburg Region, Russia. Colonel-General Alexander Lapin Commander of Central Military district Russia was the chief guest on this occasion. Troops from all SCO member states participated in the exercises and shared each other’s experiences.

Trilateral Exercise Three Brothers – 2021

The two-week-long exercise was focused on the capability to counter regional terrorism threats in a hybrid scenario, fostering combined force interoperability, joint force integration, and enhance capabilities in amphibious operations.
The chief guest of the final exercise was Azerbaijan Minister of Defence Zakir Hasanov. Also in attendance were the Services Chief of Azerbaijan, Commander of Special Forces Azerbaijan, General Hikmat Mirzayev along with observers from Kazakhstan and Major General Mumtaz Hussain From Pakistan.

‘Shared Destiny 2021’ – Pakistan, China, Thailand and Mongolia hold joint military drills

A joint military exercise of peacekeeping troops from Pakistan, China Thailand, and Mongolia concluded in Queshan county of central China’s Henan Province on Wednesday.

The exercise titled “Shared Destiny-2021” was organized by the Chinese army. It was attended by more than 1,000 officers and soldiers from the four countries.

Under joint command, the participants completed tasks such as building temporary operating bases, guard patrol, armed escort, protection of civilians, and response to violence and terrorist attacks, Xinhua news said in its report. The drills kicked off on September 6 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the lawful seat of China in the United Nations.
