Pakistan army’s relief and rescue efforts continue in rain-hit Sindh Cities

Pakistan army is continuing its relief and rescue efforts to help flood victims in Karachi wherein all areas have severely been affected due to heavy rains disrupting the civic life. In a statement issued on Friday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that 32 medical camps have been established with the civil administration in various areas including three army mobile hospitals at Sarjani Town, Qayyumabad, and Saadi Town. The ISPR said that 56 relief camps have been established in coordination with the civil administration to help the stranded people. It said that dewatering has been carried out at nine locations. The ISPR said that Pakistan army troops are busy in shifting the people to safer places. Likewise, the cooked meal is being provided to the affected people in various areas struck due to heavy rains. Details are:- A 50 bedded hospital has been established in Surjani. The Rain Emergency Medical Camps have been established at following places; three Camps at Lyari, two Camps at Garden, two Camps at Clifton, two Camps at Kemari, one Camp at Saddar, three Camps at Gulberg, five Camps at Kachi Abadi, four Camps at Liaqatabad, four Camps at Dist Malir, two Camps at District Korangi, and four Camps at District East (Gulzar-e-Hijri). Hyderabad In Hyderabad, the relief operation by Pakistan army in Latif Abad area is in process. The dewatering has been undertaken at two locations while cooked is being provided to the affected population. Dadu In Dadu, Pakistan army troops have evacuated more than 350 people to safer places struck in flood-hit areas. The cooked meal has been provided to the people affected due to rains. Badin In Badin, five villages have been flooded and therein Pakistan Navy Medical Camp has been established to provide necessary medical care.
