ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and China on Wednesday signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for promotion of cooperation in water and power sector.
The Chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Zafar Mehmoud and the Chairman of Chinese Three Gorges Corporation Chun Lu signed the documents in Islamabad on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Federal Ministers were also present.
The first MoU relates to cooperation in construction of water reservoirs and hydel generation while under the second MoU, both the countries will enhance cooperation in education and training in the respective field.

Separately, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, issues related to bilateral relations and cooperation in diverse sectors came under discussion.
