Though Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been eulogized enough for its initiatives on the diplomatic front but a quite embarrassing prevalence is still overshadowing its accomplishments.
One feels this entanglement if he/she googles in search for “Pakistan Embassy in Brussels”. Because the very first emerging link leads to www.embassyofpakistan.be, which mentions Mamnoon Hussain and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as the Serving President and Prime Minister of Pakistan respectively.
It is worth noting that Mamnoon Hussain tenure as Pakistan’s 12th President ended on September 8, 2018 while 21st Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (From August 1, 2017 To May 31, 2018) has also now been replaced by Imran Khan since August 18, 2018.
However further surfing in the internet revealed that Pakistan Embassy in Brussels has launched its new website with the URL ‘pakistanembassy.be’.
The new website is also hyperlinked on Embassy’s official twitter account. But since the Embassy’s outdated website www.embassyofpakistan.be hasn’t been downed yet, its presence causes annoyance to the viewers.
Therefore, the Foreign Office must take notice of such negligence and issue directions to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, the European Union and Luxembourg Naghmana A Hashmi to ensure vigilance and convenience for the viewers.
