The Statehood Day of Serbia is a national holiday that is celebrated on February 15 each year.
It commemorates the day in 1804 when the First Serbian Uprising began which eventually led to the establishment of the modern Serbian state.
The First Serbian Uprising was a rebellion against Ottoman rule in Serbia, and it was led by the Serbian revolutionary and military leader Djordje Petrovic, also known as Karadjordje.
The uprising eventually succeeded in establishing a Serbian state, which was recognized by the Ottoman Empire in 1830.
The Statehood Day is an important holiday in Serbia, and it is marked by various events and celebrations, including parades, cultural events, and fireworks displays.
The day is an opportunity for Serbians to celebrate their Country’s history and achievements, as well as to reflect on their ongoing efforts to build a strong and prosperous nation.
