Foreign OfficePakistan FM mocks India over its cricketers wearing army caps

SUKKUR, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has regretted that the Indian posture is so belligerent that even their cricketers are wearing caps of their army during matches.

The Indian cricket team played the third One Day International (ODI) against Australia at Ranchi on Friday with Indian army caps on, and also donated their match fee to the National Defence Fund. However, India lost the third ODI by 32 runs.

The Twitter handlers in Pakistan including the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry resented wearing the army camouflage caps by the Indian cricket team, and also demanded an action by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Even they, in order to vex Indians, celebrated the 104-run innings by the Pakistani-born Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja in the third ODI, which eventually helped his side to register their first ODI victory in the five-match series.

Talking to media representatives in Sukkur on Saturday, the foreign minister said that Pakistan wants peace but if India resorts to any aggression, we will give a befitting response.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that while the entire World is accepting Pakistan’s narrative today, the Indian narrative is not being accepted even by the Indian people and voices are coming from inside India that New Delhi has lost Kashmir.

The foreign minister said that that the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) has deteriorated to the extent that the United States has described the state a dangerous area and warned its citizens not to visit it.

Qureshi asked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the World Community to take notice of India’s belligerent behavior and intervene in the affairs of Occupied Kashmir.
