ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The whole Pakistan went to a standstill on Friday noon in observance of Kashmir Hour to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Sirens were sounded to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Hour followed by playing of national and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) anthems.

The Kashmir Solidarity Hour was observed for half hour from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm throughout the Country, in which, the people stepped outside their offices, houses or wherever they were, and spent time under the naked sky waving Pakistani and AJK flags and raising pro-Kashmir slogans.

Meanwhile, all means of transportation including vehicles and trains were brought to standstill.

In Islamabad, Special Ceremonies were held at President House and Prime Minister’s Secretariat to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris, and wherein a huge number of people gathered on the call of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Both President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan also addressed the gatherings and reiterated their resolve to always stand by the Kashmiris and took their struggle for freedom to the logical conclusion.
