ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Iran on Thursday agreed to further deepen their bilateral ties with particular focus on trade and economic cooperation.
“We (Pakistan and Iran) have fruitful cooperation in diverse areas of common interest,” Sartaj Aziz while talking to an Iranian delegation headed by the Chairman of Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Allaudin Boroujerdi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost was also part of the visiting delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Iran besides discussing various regional and international issues.
The two sides agreed to further deepen Pakistan-Iran bilateral ties with particular focus on trade and economic cooperation.
The adviser said that Pakistan valued its relations with the brotherly Muslim Country of Iran.
Separately, the Iranian delegation also met the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Islamabad and emphasized the importance of Pak-Iran Parliamentary engagement.
