ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government attached great importance to enhancing cooperation with the United Kingdom particularly in areas of bilateral trade and investment.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to the outgoing British High Commissioner Philip Barton who made a farewell call on him here at the PM House.

The Prime Minister appreciated the role of Philip Barton in improving the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Britain.
Philip Barton said Britain enjoyed good friendly relations with Pakistan and highly valued the role of Pakistani diaspora living in the UK in bringing the two countries closer.
He said the UK appreciated the role of Pakistani diaspora contributing in national progress and development.
