ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi has announced to donate his one-month salary to the Corona Relief Fund established by the federal government, aiming at raising the money for the affectee of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In a statement, the Pakistan Navy Spokesman said that Pakistan Navy Officers to the level of Vice Admiral, Rear Admiral, and Commodore will donate their three-day salary to the relief fund while rest of the Officers will donate their one-day salary to the fund.
The Spokesman said that Chief Petty Officers, Sailors, and the Civilian Staff will also give their one-day salary as donations.
Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan officially announced the Corona Relief Fund at the National Bank of Pakistan where charitable contributions can be made.
The contributions will also be tax-free and tax incentives will be given to tax filing persons. The account number is 4162 786 786.

Prior to it, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan also announced to donate their respective one-month salaries in the fund. Besides all officers and personnel of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) also announced to financially contribute in the fight against Coronavirus.
